Motor Vehicle Insurance

Motor vehicle insurance policies offer financial protection against: loss, damage or theft, property damage, towing costs, redelivery and theft recovery costs and many other liabilities related to motor vehicles depending on the level of cover chosen

The three main types of coverage are:

Comprehensive
Covers your vehicle for accidental loss or damage including legal liability for third party property damage.

Third Party Fire and Theft
Covers your vehicle for fire and theft including legal liability for third party property damage.

Third Party Property Damage
No cover for your vehicle, but does cover your legal liability for third party property damage.

Home and Contents Insurance Policies

Home & Contents insurance is about protecting the things that are most important to you - your house and your belongings. Building Insurance covers the building and also includes your garage, any outbuildings, perimeter walls, and your pool. Contents Insurance covers your carpets and furniture, the items in your shed, your entertainment items and clothing

Defined or Listed Events
Provides cover for listed events such as fire, theft, malicious damage, glass breakage, storm damage and earthquake. Includes replacement cost as new coverage even though your property or contents may be many years old.

Legal liability for bodily injury or property damage, temporary accommodation costs while your residence is being repaired or rebuilt. This is what would be considered a basic policy.

Accidental Damage
Provides cover for accidental loss or damage to your home or contents and includes automatic cover for personal items of contents away from home such as jewellery, camera, sporting equipment and other contents (subject to policy limits which varies from insurer to insurer).

It also includes all the cover afforded under the Defined Events Policy for listed events such as fire, theft, malicious damage, glass breakage, storm damage and earthquake (generally flood cover is not automatically included and may not be available from some insurers).

Includes replacement cost as new coverage even though your property or contents may be many years old; legal liability for bodily injury or property damage; and temporary accommodation costs while your residence is being repaired or rebuilt.

It offers a much broader coverage than a Defined Events Policy.
